Navigating the Breeze: A Deck by Deck Guide

The Carnival Breeze has a lot packed into its decks, and figuring out where everything lives before you board saves you a lot of wandering once you’re onboard. Here’s the full breakdown, deck by deck, with the insider tips that actually matter once you’re sailing.

Decks 1-2: Riviera and Main

These decks are staterooms only, plus the Medical Center on Deck 1. Cove Balconies sit on Deck 2, close to the waterline.

If you want great wake views without paying for a higher balcony category, the Cove Balconies on Deck 2 are worth a look. You’re right at the water, and the price reflects that.

Deck 3: Lobby Deck

This is where you’ll find the Ovation Theatre’s main shows, the Sapphire and Blush dining rooms, Guest Services, the Shore Excursions desk, the Lobby Bar, and the atrium.

If you need Guest Services for anything during the cruise, the line is shortest right after sail-away and again before 8 am. Avoid the after-dinner rush if you can.

Deck 4: Mezzanine Deck

Winner’s Luck Casino, the Library, the Warehouse Arcade, Circle “C” for tweens, Club O2 for teens, Chef’s Table, Gallery on the Way, and the upper level of Blush dining room are all here.

If casino smoke bothers you, the non-smoking section is midship. Ask staff to point you there if air quality is a concern.

Deck 5: Promenade Deck

This deck is your entertainment hub. Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, Bonsai Sushi, Guy’s Pig & Anchor BBQ, the Alchemy Bar, RedFrog Pub, Limelight Lounge, the Punchliner Comedy Club, the Taste Bar, Ocean Plaza, and the shops all live here.

Comedy, steakhouse, sushi, and most of the ship’s best bars are all on this one deck. If you’re planning an evening out, start here.

Decks 6-9: Cabin Decks

Staterooms span all categories across these decks. Balcony rooms run from Deck 6 through 9, with Premium Vista Balconies at the aft of Deck 9 and Junior Suites also on Deck 9.

Mid-ship cabins on Deck 7 or 8 give you the best balance of stability and easy access to everything else on the ship. If motion sickness is a concern, this is the sweet spot. I stayed at 7422 which was close to the elevators and stairs and quiet.

Deck 10: Lido Deck

This is the heart of casual dining and pool life on the Breeze. Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, the Lido Marketplace buffet, Pizza Pirate running 24 hours, Seafood Shack, Mongolian Wok, Tandoor, the Beach Pool, Tides Pool, RedFrog Rum Bar, and BlueIguana Tequila Bar are all here.

For Guy’s Burger, the right-side line tends to move faster. The left side gets cut into by buffet foot traffic heading in the same direction.

Deck 11: Panorama Deck

Cucina del Capitano serves dinner here, with the Pasta Bar offering a free lunch earlier in the day. Camp Ocean for kids is also on this deck, along with the Breeze Atrium space and staterooms in several categories.

Deck 12: Spa & Sports Deck

Cloud 9 Spa & Salon, the Fitness Center, SportSquare for basketball and ping pong, mini golf, the SkyCourse ropes course, Carnival WaterWorks with the slides, the jogging track, and the outdoor Seaside Theatre are all up here.

WaterWorks lines are shortest right when it opens in the morning. If your kids want the slides without the wait, get there early.

Deck 14: Spa Deck

This deck holds more of Cloud 9 Spa’s treatment rooms, the hydrotherapy mineral pool for spa guests, VIP spa suites, heat rooms, and the mud room.

Deck 15: Serenity Deck

Serenity, the adults-only retreat, lives up here on its own deck, along with the whirlpools, Serenity Bar, hammocks and lounge chairs, and the entrance to the Twister waterslide.

Most people don’t find Serenity until day 3 of the cruise, once word spreads. Go on day 1 instead. It’s free, it’s quiet, and you’ll wish you’d known about it sooner.

Print this out or save it to your phone before you board. The first day or two is always the most confusing, and knowing roughly where things are ahead of time means you spend less time wandering and more time actually enjoying the ship.
